What is the name of your state? Me and my family are living in California.
We are family of 4 including my 2 kids, a 4 year old boy and a 7 years old girl. My girl has autism. We are renting a room with a shared kitchen and bathroom and stayed here for 5 yrs now. We have no written lease or written renting agreement. My landlord has a daughter with a small dog that visits every other day for 2 hours sometimes more. We used her kitchen few times before but the landlord always ask us to use a big towel under us everytime we cook, I told the landlord I feel dangerous having the towel under us. And sometimes my kids gets chased by the small dog. We purchased a 2 burner stove and using it for 5 yrs now. Also I have a fire extinguisher for it just in case. I think my landlord knows we have a stove since my landlord seen us washing our pots and pans. We did this so we dont keep bothering her and her daughter especially both my kids runs around her house. So please tell me if I can use the stove with a fire extinguisher or no I should I get rid of it.

The stove probably violates the fire code.

So we need keep using the landlord's kitchen even when the small dog is there?
You could ask your landlord to confine the dog during the times you are using the kitchen. Cooking in your room rather than in the kitchen is not recommended.

You certainly can use it (with or without a fire extinguisher nearby).

If your intent was to ask whether it is legal for you to have a two-burner stove in your room, there is no state law that prohibits it (it is unlikely that there is any local law either, but you didn't identify your locality, so it's impossible to be sure about that).

If your intent was to ask whether your landlord can require you to get rid of the stove or face eviction, the answer is yes.

I suggest you call your city/township to check on the fire code for rentals.
And don't just ask about the stove in your room, mention the big-towel-in-the-kitchen requirement too.

Regarding the stove in your room, is this an actual stove with an oven etc., or is it just a two-burner hotplate? This distinction could make a big difference to what the city/township tells you.

My landlord is an old lady who is hard on hearing as well. And I have a daughter who has autism. Me and my wife is always scared to take my kids to the bathroom when her daughter is there visiting with her dog. When the time I walk inside to use the sink that dog would bark after me many times. I am temporarily working at home for this pandemic but any time my work can tell us when to go back to the office. I am really scared that my wife would be in the owner's kitchen, 2 doors away, and my kids are awake and knows how to take the chain of the hook in our front door. We live at the back of the owner's house, I always keep the gates closed at all times but we have a neighbor who is also renting and have their own kitchen. When they leave or go somewhere they leave the gate open many times and normally I have to closed it for them. Even when I tell them to keep it closed they would keep it open more times maybe because they forget or maybe because they want to piss me off. It might be soon now that my work will let me know to come back to the office and continue to work. I really dont know what to do and I am still in the waiting list for the low income housing. Please let me know if there's anything I could do for a housing. Thank you!

It sounds as if you need to find more suitable housing for you and your family. Have you looked in your area for other affordable rentals?

This is only a two-burner plate from swap meet and I always make sure valve is off in the tank at all times.

Whoa, hold on. You're talking about a PROPANE burner? That is a big no-no. It's a tragedy waiting to happen.
Agreed. OP also better pray that CPS doesn't get a complaint regarding the dangerous situation OP is placing his children in.

Yes I am listed in Sect 8 housing in San Diego but the wait still long. I am on their list since 2015. That is why we ended up in this place.
