Cooking with propane normally is very safe , as safe as natural gas , normal propane appliances are connected via the same kinds of gas lines as natural gas appliances and propane is in a tank like mine thats is X distance from the house . ( our tank is 500 gallon and considered to be full with 400 gallons) It sounds like your using a camping stove that is used on top of a picnic table. I get it about shuttiing the tank valve off when your done cooking BUT if there is a black rubber line you must pay attention to watch for cracks in the line if cracks happen stop using it. ( I get it that in many many places other than the USA people cook in their apartments and houses using bottled gas with stoves / ovens that are connected via rubber line or direct connect to a small tank. ) best wishes to you regarding that waiting list.

A used stove must be used with special caution - and stoves using propane tanks should not be used inside.

every one else said that this was a poor choice to use it inside , odds are they are going to do it anyway and the ideal thing would be for them to set it up outside and use it there but they still have to monitor it if it has a rubber line. ( is it any safer than say a twin electric burner -hot plate ? probably not.

sdcalipinoy seems to understand the risks of using the stove inside and has said he will remove it.

Thank you but I am learning my lesson now from you guys. And better safe than sorry. I may have forgot to mention that our neighbor next door uses the same thing. Although they have a burner inside their place and they have no access to the owner's kitchen. Do they have the right to have a burner inside their room?

Again, check your local fire codes - and find a legal aid clinic in your area to assist you with your landlord issues.
