The reason I posted the "cops in the situation" comment was b/c a child calling Dad saying what happened between them and his step-dad could escalate way farther than by calling an authority i.e the cops ( not that they do everything possible they always should).
It just sounded that if there is any type of violence tell someone- I dont want to see anything bad happen if there is abuse whether proven or not.

That is the info generally when I clicked Ohio in PublicLawfind.com, but if the kid found this forum and they can read what is in this and every other forum than the info i provided is again for the kid to ponder according to what the question was and i do apoligize if others feel it was too much, but i wasnt trying to advise what to do but merely quoting the :childs preference:
