You sound like my Mom. Whenever I say online, she still thinks I'm talking about laundry! :D
Yeah, yeah. Laugh all you want about us fogeys. Fact is, though, that I'm a whopping FORTY-THREE (43) and actually met my hubby online--back in '94, when not everyone had one of these toaster ovens and a high-speed cable modem. Took MONTHS to download that man from NJ to Detroit over that 2400 baud modem! It has, however, been well worth it--just ask the kitties, fish and parrot how happy they are!

I will say, though, that the journalism part of the degree didn't exactly have me prepped to work for the NYT at graduation. Spent no more than 15 minutes on a VDT (remember when we called them that?) in a single newswriting class. The psychology part of the degree was meant to be a minor, but it took only three more credits to make it a dual-major. Was nice to say I took biopsychology and psychopharmacology for FUN! (Shhhh! Don't tell Geisterhund I actually STUDIED that stuff!)

Geisterhund. Isn't that German for "out of her mind???" That one is a real piece of work. I agree that if we told her you studied that stuff she would tell you that "you don't know nothin'!" She is one twisted sister!
