What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I need to know how to remove my lawyer from my divorce case. He has left the state, and has been suspended from the bar. He started my divorce but never finished it. I can't file a substitution of attorney because he would have to sign it, and he is gone! I don't want another attorney, I want to finish this divorce myself.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

If he is suspended, he can NOT sign a substitution of attorney form because he is NOT a licensed attorney able to practice law anymore. File a notice of appearance to the court of stating that you are continuing pro se due to the suspension of your prior attorney.
