Here is the situation. My child was enrolled in a school in Atlanta, GA for August 2011. There was an incident that happen while she was in school. The teacher claimed my child kicked her after physically tried to stop her from walking out the class, (which is what I told my child to do if she feel threaten). I never received any paperwork from the school about the matter, only a call from the teacher. I was told no one was sure about what happen. I requested to speak with the principal many times, but she never responded to me. About a week later this teacher started calling me. She made comments about taking legal action if I don't talk to her face to face. This went on for several days then I call the school to speak with the principal again, asked about the incident again, and to find out why this teacher was calling me. The school called me later that day and stated they dealt with the incident and the teacher has been informed to not contact me in anyway unless she go through the principal. In September 2011, I withdrew my child from the school. I learned yesterday this teacher has been calling people I know to try and find my information with threats to take legal action if I don't talk to her.
I need to know legally what I can do to stop her and if I have legal ground to press charges on her?
What are the legal steps I should be taking at this time?
