What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? RI

Does a tenant have to allow landlord to show apartment before lease expires and do we have to vacate as it is shown?

Yes, the LL can show the house, but have you given notice of vacating the unit? No, you do not have to leave your home while it is being shown.
