What is the name of your state? TX

I need some advice from anyone who knows the answer! :) I am the mother of a three year old girl. I am still married to her father, but we have been sperated for three years now. He has not sent the court ordered support or attempted to see her in these past three years. How hard would it be to get his parental rights terminated?

There is no reason to insult me. The reason I am still married to the deadbeat is because I am a single mom who works full-time and goes to school full-time and I support my daughter. I have no room in my budget to divorce him yet. I am just trying to get this worked out.

Q: How hard would it be to get his parental rights terminated?

A: Is the child up for adoption?

So are you letting him off the hook for child support as well, or are you one of those "I dont want him seeing the child, but I DO want his money" moms?

Termination of parental rights

I think that people are misunderstanding my question!
I am supporting and taking care of my child. I do not want to give her up. I want to terminate the rights of her father who has not been involved since she was six months old. I do not want his money or anything else. I just want to find out how hard it would be to get his parental right taken away and give me the sole custody rights. Please let me know.

But there has been parental abadonment or extreme disinterest. He has not been involved or attempted to be involved with his daughter since she was six months old. She will be turning four in May. Does that not qualify?

I am a waste? WHY ON EARTH DO YOU THINK THAT??? My whole world revolves around my daughter and I want it that way!! She is my reason for being and I take care of her, love her, and would do anything for her! Who do you think you are? YOu are the waste! Why are you even on this site?? YOu have nothing positive to add, you obviously have no life if this is all you do all day! I read your post. I know your kind. You just will not feel good until you make someone else feel worse.

So, just because he hasn't been involved is not enough to terminate?
Not neccessarily.

He could say that YOU have kept him from the child. Any proof to negate that?

Not only that, but if you have him served with papers to go to court over this, he could easily take an interest in the child just to piss you off. Then, you may not have a leg to stand on.

Look, if you dont want $ from him & he doesnt want to see the child, perhaps you should just leave it alone.
