Believe me, I am not defending them. Two years for the withholding order and then the amount is wrong!! And of course, they've never done anything about my medical arrears.
If you have a standard issued TX order, it states (at least mine does) that you need to submit medical bills to the NCP within so many days for them to be reimbursed. If you have 2 years worth saved up, don't get your hopes up trying to collect on them.

Check your current order for any language pertaining to that. I seriously doubt the OAG will do anything to collect those for you. It might be up to you to pursue those on your own.

Ummm. . . . Bills were submitted to ex as required by the order (of course). He refuses to pay. That is medical arrears--and yes I can collect. It is child support.

That's because they CAN'T, not until there is a judgement for them, then they will take enforcement action to collect on that judgement. You can file yourself to enforce your child support .

I was told by the AG's office that medical expenses arrears are child support arrears and that they (that is, the AG's office) could enforce that order, like any support order.

Sadly, I've talked to several folks at the AG's office and - in my experience - less than half actually know what they are talking about. By the way, keep in mind that the folks that man the AG's phones are NOT attorneys.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "idgit" you spoke with didn't know the difference between medical expenses and the amount the NCP is ordered to pay for for medical insurance. THAT premium is considered additional child support.
