We have condos next door and the 20 foot retaining wall between us is falling. The contractor NEEDS access of our backyard to be able to errect a new wall. This current wall has already fallen once almost 3 years ago. We let them have access to the yard last time, w/ out receiving any financial compensation. We tried to sue themfor over a year, but 2 weeks before the statute of limitations ran out, our horrible lawyer wrote to us and said we were sueing the wrong people the whole time, and if we wanted to continue we would have to send him another check to go further. The case was dropped, and now here we go again. The same situation 3 years later. They want to compensate us 500 dollars and say they need our yard for around 90 days. They will be digging 25 feet deep holes for stabilizing. This is a crazy offer for all the problems we will incur. Can someone help us? We do not want to be taken advantage of again. What are our rights?
