K. I have a huge issue. I watch a boy who is 15 months old. His mom is 20 a lives with her bf (not the hcilds dad). She has been in abusive relationships b4. Well last week she was going to leave her bf and move in with her mom. She told me she wasnt allowed to hang pictures of her son up in their apartment because BF thought he was ugly, BF call him a ugly mexican baby , nothign physical but alot a verbal stuff. Well she decided to stay with him and give him another chance for the 3rf time, This morning she calls me a warns me that this boy has some brusing because he fell out of his crib. I told her he should be fine. She brings him over and I about drop my DD. From the middle of his forhead to the back middle of his head is black and RED. His eye is swollen, his ear is so black from being bruised. I wanteed to cry for him. she did want to take him in. She said he is acting normal. Well I call this nurse I wantch a kid for and she says she needs to take him in. So the mother was still thinking about it. Well the nurse comes over and said she NEEDED to take him in because if somethign is wrong and she waits CPS will get involved. So the mom left to take him. The nurse tells me it does not look like he feel out of his crib but that he looks beat. After she said that I told her what had been going on with moms bf, I want to take this child from her but I know I cant, I just feel so hopeless. She is at the hospital now. I could not take pictures because the mom was here the whole time. Well mom called me fom hospital, she is not allowed to leave the hospital with her son. They told her there is no way he fell from his crib and it looks like he has been beaten up. CPS and the Cops have both done interviews with her. CPS is on there way to her apt to take pics of her place. I told her that if they do put him in foster care that he can stay with me if they allow it, since he knows me. Also, they did a full body look on him and found a bunch of bruises on his butt. I have never seen them even when I change his diaper so they must have not been very big or bright. So they might be interviewing me as well....dunno? I went to the hospital last night and CPS, the mother, and I sign paper work that I have temp gardian ship. CPS did background checks and house chk on me. Today Grandma came over to chk on him. She didnt seem to know him very well. Didnt know his age. Then she told me she wanted to get custody of him. I said thats great since she i family and I called the CPS worker and left a message. I told her that I would call her as soon as I heard anything. Her response: well I have a pretty busy week next week. Just doesnt sound like she cares. Also, she has to leave her home at 5AM and doesnt get home until 7PM M-Fri. So he would be in daycare all day with someone he doesnt even know! Then she tells me the mother of the boy moved in with her today. But she wants custody? The mother is allowed no contact with the boy until further notice. How does all this work? Will they really make him live with someone knew that he doesnt know that well and put him in daycare ALL day?
