xkellyx ~ We had Fettucini Alfredo, Green Beans, Peas & mashed potatoes. I have 6 kids and all of them like different things so we usually cook a couple to a few vegies so all of them will eat at least one kind. I would love to have your pumpkin spice bread recipe. Sounds awesome. I am teaching the older three kids how to cook so they would love to help make that.

cooking is my favorite past time....

and pumpkin spice bread makes the house smell so nice...
Yeah I don't think so, my parents tried their best to get me to learn lots of cooking skills, but I hate to cook. Always have. I told my parents that I would just find a man to cook and clean for me, they said it wouldn't happen. I am SOOOOOO happy to say that they were wrong, thank god, because I hate cleaning almost as much as cooking. While my fiance LOVES to cook and clean, so it takes a lot of that off of me, but we still take turns, however, my fiance usually starts to complain after the 4th take out meal a week when it's my turn to cook.

there is only me, my husband and my daughter, but we all have different tastes....(actually my daughter is this huge health nut kid and i hate everthing she eats like peas, salad, and hot dogs.....but i make them just for her)

I'll admit I cheated a little bit on the Pumkin Spice Bread...but i added stuff...here is my recipe

1 packet Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice Quick Bread Mix
1/2 Cup of water
1/3 C Vegtable Oil
3 eggs
8 oz (1 c) cream cheese (softened)
1/4 C sugar
pinch nutmeg
teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of Bailey's Irish Cream Liqueur (everything is better with this lol)

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, blend together bread mix, water, vegtable oil and 2 eggs. Spoon batter into a lightly greases 8x8x2 inch pan.
Set aside. Place cream cheese in a seperate bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed for 1 minute. Add 1 egg, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla, and irish cream. Continue to mix on low speed for 1 minute or until smooth. Spoon cream cheese mixture randomly over pumpkin batter. Make awesome designs and be the envy of all your friends....
Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Drizzle with a vanilla glaze.

WHA LA....my husband so owes me tonight!

Not this time, but I just kinda looked, and walked back out the room without saying a word. Sometimes you just gotta let them do it.

Uuuurgh. What ever happened to "don't play with your food"?

And it's "voila", btw.

Cjarr (that's his name here, he doesn't show often) would KILL me if he knew that I just let them once in awhile (mind you about 2x per year).
