I have a 2010 Nissan Altima that I had to have the transmission replaced April 2018. It came with a 12 month 12000 mile warranty. Since then, I have had to have it replaced 2 more times. The 3rd tranny started whining so I took it to Nissan, they said the tranny fluid was Overfilled and causing it to overheat. They adjusted the fluid level but said the damage may already have been done. It seemed to run fine. Last week it quit and I was stranded on side of road. Had towed to dealership and they confirmed I will need a 4th transmission. However the warranty is only from the first trans put in and it is now 2000 miles over warranty. Trying to decide if I have a case?

That would depend on the terms of the warranty that you agreed to.

If you have gone through 3 transmissions in less than a year there is another problem or you are doing something that is damaging them.

Your post is unclear. Did the Dealership do the original transmission replacement or did some other shop?

If it is the dealership on all of them I would push for a 4th transmission replacement, as the issue is their fault.

I would also push for a VERY generous trade in credit and consider another car.
