Really in all reality of this whole messed up thing, When either parent dies, before theya re 18 its not going to have anything to do with child support, it will go straight to in heirtance.
Please stop offering incorrect advice.

What YOU think should happen is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what the divorce decree says. In this case, the decree spells out the amount of life insurance and how it should be handled. Your wishes or assumptions have nothing to do with the situation.

I dont see anyone giving her any advice that she can use.

As the OP on this thread...

I do believe I received very good advice from Mistoffolees. It clearly showed that Mist took the time to read my entire (lengthy) post, understood what my decree stated, and the information I was looking for.

The advice was given timely, and in sufficient detail that I can understand what I need to do and how to go about doing it.

Hope - thank you for your contributions, but I agree with Isabelle and should... HUSH!

Mist - thank you thank you thank you, for all of the above reasons :)

Moderator - I am fully satisfied with the advice and information I received. If you feel it is appropriate, please close this thread.

Thanks again, everyone!
I am so glad I found this site!
