Unlicensed 16 y/o [12500 (a) VC]

Well i got my license a few weeks ago and went to court on the assigned court date (Wendsday). Waited in line and the clerk told me that the ticket wasn't filed and the officer has a year to file it and if i dont get anything in the mail within the next 90 days to give her a call. BTW she took my license # which wasn't on the ticket.

So what are the chances the ticket wont ever get filed ?(since almost 2 mounths has passed and it hasn't)

I would say that if it has been 2 months and not yet filed, then it probably will not be.

But, on the off chance that it got lost somewhere and might pop up at some inconvenient time, I would keep a log your attempts to contact the court regarding your citation including days and times you've called or gone down, names of who you have spoken to, and a summary of what you were told. That way if some day it pops up you have some kind of trail to show that you were making a good faith effort to resolve this.

yes i did get the papers that i have appeared on the given date and time.



What could have happen if he didn't file it? Could he have just felt bad and not filed it or lost it or something?

More than likely it didn't get turned in or just misfiled ... wouldn't be the first time.
