glad to see things went well CJane:D

i guess my family are part shrimp or somthing...out of all 12 kids (mine+neices&nefews) the biggest was 7lbs 2oz:eek:
the little one was almost 3lbs but she was almost 2 1/2 mo early
Hmmmm... the lil man is mom's 11th grandchild. My girls were the biggest babies so far, and the lil man was the smallest. The others were around 8.5 pounds and slightly early. I don't think any of us have carried a child the full 40 weeks - I'm not sure there's room in there!

Something like that! The boy is almost 3 months old and has more than doubled his birth weight already. He's gonna be a stout lad! lol My 6 year old wears a size 8 and my 9 year old is in a 12. And they're both just really tall for their ages, not chunky. I have NO idea where they got tall skinny genes, cuz it certainly isn't from this 5'6" and build like a brick sh*thouse mommy!

My oldest was OFF the charts growing up...She was in a size 6 at 3 years old....@ her 2 week check-up she was 14 lbs... She is now 5'10 ....My little one is in a size 5 long....she is 3...she is the "peanut"... But I am tall...5.9 and I have a twin brother that is 6'4....We set a record for the biggest set of twins born in the hospital ...togeather we were 13.6 lbs...in '65 the was HUGE...my mother olny gained 15lbs for the pregnancy...

Good to hear it went well CJANE! I can't believ anyone is as stupid as your ex- his attorney had to have looked like a kicked dog walking out of that courtroom......

Good for you. Now just relax and wait.

Congrats CJane! :) I knew your X sounded like my nuttyX! LOL Mine even challenged the GAL...AND then challenged the Forensic Psychologist, and basically every professional involved. He's a Narcissist though  The only humor in my almost 2 year long case was the actual trial and all the outrageous things my nuttyX said. Some exactly the same as yours!!

Glad to hear it's over with for you. I hope he lets it alone for a bit. ;) (You never know, mine went on & on & on every so often throughout 4 years until the judge finally told him not to come back unless I died or went to prison) :D

I'm so very happy for you. I thought about you while I was in the hallway waiting for my custody trial to begin yesterday afternoon. I had hoped all went well for you.

This is great news.
I hope it won't take so long for the judges decision.

Guess yesterday was a good day for moms in court because mine went exceptionally well also and I will be seeing my boys this week after 2 long years of them being alienated from me by their father. Needless to say, the Court Officer did not write the report to the judge in exes favor and their will be contempt charges filed. Court Officer says ex did violate our current order by allowing the boys to decide to visit me when the order reads the visits will be as agreed upon by the parties, referring to the parents, not the minor children. Atty filing contempt on denial of visitation and denial of joint legal custody issues with medical and school records.

Good luck to you Jane. I know you're a great mom and deserve shared custody of your children.

I'm sure you've heard references to us corn-fed midwestern women, haven't you?

My girls were 8 lbs 15 oz and 8 lbs 15.5 ounces @ 2 weeks early. My son was 7lbs 3oz @ 3 weeks early. No issues w/low birth weight going on w/these kids! In fact, my doctor actually told me not to bother not smoking during my pregnancy because worst case scenario, I'd have a normal sized child! lol
My tiny bean was 5lbs 8oz, 17" in lengh and two weeks early. Just yesterday she went for her 9 month and now she is 20.9 lbs and is 28 3/4 long.:D Mom in tiny too, 105lbs dripping wet.

Good for both of you!!! I'm sorry that you both have to go thru this. Good Luck for both of you and keep us updated. I for one, do like hearing the outcomes.

My husband went to court in November and didnt get a ruling until the second week of June. Two days later I had our daughter. It was a good week for us.

I hope you dont have to wait like he did, it was awful and it got really nasty between him and his ex during the wait time because each of them were convinced that they were the prevailing party in the court room.

Hang in there, I think it will go well for you.

CJane, I am really happy that things went well for you. It sounds to me like your ex really tanked his own case. I can't believe his attorney let him say some of the things that he said. He truly made himself look ridiculous.

That, combined with the GAL's recommendations sounds very promising to me.
