I used to work for a malpractice insurance company (covering mostly nurses) and was told that the reason OB nurse practitioners had the highest premium was because if something went wrong during childbirth they could be sued up until the child turned 18. Maybe the law is different for childbirth? Or maybe my company wasn't completely accurate in their training...

That's how a salesman demonstrated oue Kirby! He picked an 8 pound bowling ball. No pop-off's either! He threw dirt all over the place (didn't make Mrs. Liable too happy), but he cleaned it all up very nicely. Kirby to the rescue!

Maybe the doctor wasn't using a Kirby. He was probably using a Hoover. I'll bet the kid didn't even get to keep the attachments as toys!

But it is better to just push the little ankle biter out and the doctor can work wonders with closing up the Episiotomy nice and tight, better than new

I looked at, and perused it. If I wanted to spend the rest of my life on a thread, and put someone through law school, I would have responded.

I'll bet the women/mothers on this thread have never looked at their "uprights" or canister vacs the same way since! Fortunately, ours is built into our walls!! Don't hear it, don't see it.

We have the same problem in PA. Our customers were NP's not MD's (premium $800 per year compared with $85 for an ordinary RN or I think $200 for a general practice NP) but the cause of the problem was the same.

I've heard people insist that it's not called "taint" on a woman. I think they're full of it, it's the same piece of anatomy and it even has the same medical name!
