I thought the OP was from California??

So, you DON'T use the boat due to gas prices and you store the boat in your driveway, and store the trailer at a storage facility???

If your NOT USING either one of them....why aren't they stored together???
The storage facility wants another $75 a month for the boat and the travel trailer is to long for the driveway. My Property has no RV access to store the trailer AND withouthout a cement pad to store it on it is against the CC&R's for my neighborhood. The boat still gets used, just not a frequently as it used to ..

Thanks for the explanation, but why does the storage facility care what/how many things are being stored.

Is this an enclosed storage unit?

Can't you put the boat on the trailer and store them TOGETHER?? Ya know....piggy back??

Added: I think I'll just leave this thread alone. I'm still confused!

My response:

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Useless information in relation to your initial inquiry, but nonetheless, wonderful.

So what?

Did you call your insurance company? Did you review your storage contract? Does the contract have any terms or conditions concerning insurance?

How about responding to THOSE questions?

Let's see now.

Job was outsourced to India.

Can't afford insurance on the trailer.

Owns a boat to boot.

Guess you need to sell the trailer.

Vehicle insurance on a stored recreatinal Trailer???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the name of your state? California

I have been storing my 24ft self contained Travel Trailer (not a 5th wheel) in a storage facility for nearly 2 years. within the last 8 months the facility came under new management. I am needing to know what laws would allow this storage to Force me to place Insurance on this trailer as a condition to keep it stored there from which I was never required to do before? I mean who wants to pay insurance on a trailer that is being stored and not used on public roadways. is this legal for them to do?
Here's what I asked you:
Did you call your insurance company? Did you review your storage contract? Does the contract have any terms or conditions concerning insurance?

How about responding to THOSE questions?

My response:

Apparently, there is something mentally wrong with you. I asked you questions that had EVERYTHING to do with your issue, and you're doing EVERYTHING you can to dance around the issue, and to tell us about how poor you are, and how you can't afford the gasoline for your boat.

We don't give a crap whether you're trying to sell the boat! It doesn't matter! You asked about your CONTRACT with the storage company, idiot!

Why can't you answer my questions? And, why are you so thin-skinned?

so maybe living in that trailer is in order. Add crappy falling down roof on house to that no gas boat, no insured trailer story.

I can't help it, but I love these people who are not quite sure how this forum works. I would love to be a fly on the wall and see their faces when they finally realize how we research and combine their posts.

I'm thinking this:
