itsacatsworld is not unstable. He knows exactly what he’s doing. I can’t tell if he’s angry with Veronica or Paradise, but he’s paying someone back and it appears to be the latter.

When are the rest of you going to figure out that when you act as a gang against people, when you abuse them for your own amusement, your “victory” over them is only an illusion?

This is the Internet. You can’t/don’t “run off” anyone who is not willing to let you run them off.

Your EFFORTS to run people off only fertilize the troll garden that grows right behind EVERY Internet forum. These individuals sit back and laugh at your hopeless efforts to trace IP’s, check the tracker, scour the Internet for information on them, etc. They are watching you chase your own tails.

Because you KNOW you have driven people to such behavior, you must be ever vigilant for the paybacks. You become suspicious of every new poster, often mistreating innocent people because of your paranoia. Viola’, you then create a new enemy.

It’s sad enough that you review previous posts every time someone asks a question in a forum. When you start searching the net for information on someone, you have gone WAY over the edge in your need to control/win something that you CANNOT control or win.

The obsession becomes downright disturbing (though often comical as well) when you go so far as to start dissecting names looking for “clues”.

OMG though, Megan Pro Se’r has become one of the most hilarious entries ever, to the file I call “Too Lame Brained To Be For Real”. Few things are funnier than watching the clueless add 2 and 2 and come up with 83.064. But wait! Hasn’t anyone figured out what MEGAN really spells? Hmmm?

I digress. The point of this post was simply to say, itsacatsworld is crazy like a fox and he’s merely giving someone what she asked for in some previous exchange.

High five yourselves now for “chasing someone off” or whatever you did to this guy. I certainly don’t condone his behavior, yet I recognize it as the USUAL consequence for the kind of abuse some of you regularly dish out. WOW, nice job.

Megan, you and I don't usually get along and I do not want to further that history, so I am going to address your post as civilly as possible and I hope you will do the same. By the way, I can tell you are making an effort because your post was very diplomatic, and I thank you for that.

Having said that, however, you have really jumped the gun on this one. It just so happens that this entire scenario began when another poster created a thread because he was frustrated with advice that Todd (panzertanker) gave him. You are correct that we rally together in this kind of situation, and this case was no exception. Itsacatsworld jumped in to applaud the OP of this thread and I called him an idiot. On this same thread I made a joke that everyone was having threads created in their names and that I wanted a thread created for me too (huge mistake, I realize that now). From all of that came this thread. If anger is directed at anyone it would be directed at me not Paridise.

I am not going to disagree with everything that you said because some of it is true. However, there are some posters who come here to cause havoc and you know that is true also. By isolating them to one thread and wearing them down we are able to limit the amount of havoc that is created. I know you don't agree with this, but believe me when I tell you that not one of us has been reprimanded for this behavior by admin. If it offends you so much that we are friends and we support one another there is not much that we can do about that. Furthermore, many of the people that we have done this to have ended up being banned which just proves that we were justified in our actions.

Again, I know you don't agree with this behavior, but (and I'm being blunt now) it doesn't have anything to do with you. I know you have seperate issue with some of my friends, but I'm not going to discuss that because that is not my battle and I prefer to stay out of those situations.

In any event, this case is not what you thought it was, and once again, doesn't have anything to do with you. Mary will sort it out tomorrow I'm sure.

However, there are some posters who come here to cause havoc and you know that is true also.

It does NOT offend me that you are friends. I think it’s wonderful because as long as you are all having fun with each other, no one becomes bored enough to have fun at the expense of the OPs. Let's face it, most of the crap that gets dumped on OPs is due to the boredom of regular posters.

I think it's great that you are all board buds. I’ve asked the admin to give you a forum of your own where you can chat to your heart’s content about anything and anyone, because with the current set up the only way for you all to chat is to take over someone else’s thread. They can set you up with a private, password protected forum, with the press of a button.

Your gang only offends me when one of you jumps into a thread where there was NO problem (such as YAG and CARL last week), taking over the thread and destroying it as a source of information.

Your gang also offends me when they gang bang someone who does not deserve it. I've seen very few who appear to have invited the kind of attack they get from your gang.

Furthermore, many of the people that we have done this to have ended up being banned which just proves that we were justified in our actions.

I posted on this thread to tell Veronica to be carefull as he seemed unstable.

I was correct in that assumption.

I have to laugh at Pro'se'r jumping in and thinking this post was all about me, and then giving advice.

I was "JOKING" about my felon husband giving me a great gift.

My husband has never been a felon or arrested in his life.

Where do you get off assuming such things Pro'se'r?

I am a moderator at a deals bulletin board, we get crackpots like this all the time. But Megan, I disagree on one point, they do not get mad at getting ganged up on, the only time they get ganged up on is when they have asked for it, many of these people simply don't like the answers they get to their questions, or they break the board rules and get offended when someone tells them like it is. That is not ganging up on someone.

For instance, in one thread on this board, someone posted they had shoplifted at Macy's and were upset that their fine was higher than someone elses who had done it before. When everyone told them that they pretty much had to deal with it, they started attacking people. There are other examples of this I can point out as well. Some people just can't handle being wrong, or finding out that others are not going to help them get off with a loophole when they blatantly did something illegal.

On my boards, I recently had a woman who was spamming, I sent her a private message, clearly identifying myself as an admin, and told her to stop. She continued, so she was banned. Then she sends me an email claiming she didn't know it wasn't allowed, (it is clearly stated in the TOS and restated all over our boards!) and said she didn't know who I was, I had to ask her what she thought MODERATOR meant in my message?

[RMETrevious posts can be very telling when OP fails to present the facts required to provide advice, OP's who delete posts or manipulate when they don't get the advice they like or want can get very angry, but they are usually not trolls and often write back thanking those who remained constant with the appropriate advice. Remember this is not a rant/vent site or a support group. Troll, usually join and suddenly break into or hijack a thread for the soul purpose of attacking a senior member that they have targeted, maybe because they are angry with past responses, they are pretty obvious and usually leave after they ar banned. Most like you, realize that weekends are an excellent opportunity for attack as the Admin is not on duty. Megan, you may not have started out at a troll, but you have beecome one and even more so, you target people who are not in a place to recognize your mission here.]

[RMET:That is an excellent example, because once YAG realized what happened, he was upset that no one warned him of the real situation because he didn't look at Carl's posting history. Carl had not mitigated his losses and they were so minor that by this time he could not prove his case. He did not like that and admitted intentionally hijacking threads simply to discuss hypothetical issues, not the purpose of the forum. While you may agree that is the purpose of the forum because you do the same thing, it is not the purpose. Perhaps you should start your own forum, a place where you and others like you and do what you please and not confuse OP's here, to troll for victims to satisfy your obsession.]

Megan, I just want to add that it was never anyone's intention to run off itsacatsworld. I have only had three encounters with him. The first was when he unfairly accused a poster who was sexually molested by her pastor of lying. She was being helped very nicely by rmet, and he intruded with unfounded accusations. Obviously Todd and I jumped in to DEFEND the OP from itsacatsworld. Itsacatsworld actually ended up apologizing and that was the end of that. The next day was when he said something derogartoy towards Todd and I called him an idiot, this was the second encounter. The third was this thread.

On this thread, my friend Paridise was only trying to make me see how naive I was being in thinking that this guy was harmless. I see that now, but again, neither she nor I were attempting to run itsacatsworld off of this forum. I'm still not trying to do that since he has not made it clear what his motives are. Quite honestly, I couldn't care less what they are anyway. I have never run into him before this weekend, and I doubt that I will after unless he seeks me out. As far as I'm concerned this entire episode is over.

So, in summation, our motives on this one are a little bit different then you thought. Once again, I don't disagree with everything you said, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I agree that it would be nice if we had a chat forum, but that is up to admin. I don't think it would need to be password protected necessarily because we aren't exclusive, and we don't chat about anything that we would be afraid for the open forum to see.

I still have hopes that we can all settle our differences amicably, and I appreciate your efforts toward that goal.
