This is my final post to this topic.
I did NOT want to post to this site to begin with. FAR too many of the regular posters here are rude, self-serving, narcissists whose main goal is not to help, but to ridicule others' opinions and/or ridicule them as a human being. Many of you enjoy intimidating and ganging up on others as well - all in an attempt to feed your massive egos. Perhaps the name of the site should be changed to something much more appropriate - like Free Ridicule or Free Intimidation. How is it helpful or considerate of your fellow human being to have a signature line such as 'you can't fix stupid'?
I looked at the OP's profile to see if there was a way to contact him/her without posting here. If there was, I missed it. I felt it was important to reach out to the OP. So, against my better judgment, I posted my advice for the OP. The ONLY reason I posted my website address is because there is a contact link on the site if the OP was so inclined to use it. So, Proserpina, your quote -
You are so out of line. Your post wasn't for OP at all - your post was for you.
is WAY off base and completely uncalled for.

I regretfully took the time to visit your link, and I'm sad to say I'll never get those 15 minutes of my life back.
This website is NOT about sympathy for peoples' losses, it is about legal advice. Just what legal advice did you provide, exactly?
I understand that this site is not about sympathy, but you can still be a little bit sympathetic while also offering advice. A little bit of compassion goes a long way. Only my opening sentence regarded sympathy for the OP. AND I stated in my second paragraph that I was no lawyer, so my advice was not legal.
BUT, I do have unique personal experience that DOES qualify me to reply, regardless of what any of you might think. The OP is free to take it or leave it.
CJane, you said -
Wow. I get being all sad and junk when your pet dies. I've had lots of pets die in my life.
But I've never become completely and overwhelmingly obsessed like that. My recommendation to the OP is to NOT do what you've done. At all.
and
How, exactly, was your advice to create a website solely geared towards destroying someone's livelihood legally correct?
You're a nutjob. Plain and simple.
And yes, my heart IS two sizes too small.
First, I don't see where anyone asked for a recommendation on using
my advice. Although, really, it was not my advice you were commenting on. I certainly never asked for your opinion on my website, and the link was not there for your benefit. Your comments were unwelcome regarding the site or what you think of me. I have responded in kind, though not quite as personal as the words you have chosen.
Second, I never advised the OP to create a website. Perhaps you should reread my original post.
The 'attack' mode that
you started says a lot about you as a person.
wyett717 you said -
Many of us have walked in your shoes, as MANY of us have lost pets that we've loved dearly. Your post was for the OP, but CJane was correct in advising against your opinion.
You have no right to minimize other peoples' losses. This thread is not about your situation anyway. The OP received appropriate answers already.
You have walked in my shoes? Really? Then tell me all about when a vet negligently killed your pet. If you have not experienced that scenario, then NO, you have NOT walked in my shoes.
Where do you deduce that I was trying to minimize other peoples' losses? I NEVER did any such thing. Losing a pet to the negligence of another unexpectedly IS much different than your pet passing away from old age or disease. That is FACT. Nothing is being minimized.
Finally, some of you really need to sharpen up on your reading comprehension skills. They are sorely lacking.
END.
