My ex has never been in my house we go to his moms house, So he is not the one who is uncomfortable its me. I have to be the one who sits there around his family. (im the outcast not him). And for your information it bites I hate it I would rather not be there but I am just trying to ease our child into bonding with her father.
I have to most respectfully disagree with the advice that you recieved from the other posters. You are absolutely correct not to allow alone time without court orders considering the fact that he has threatened to take her.

The fact that he was in rehab last year twice, for a total of 1.5 months, is MORE than sufficient outside evidence of his drug problem. Those records can be subpeonaed. (spelling?)

It is admirable that you have chosen to visit in his mom's home....his frequent cancellations, when you are making it that easy for him...will not show particularly good intentions on his part.

However, the others are correct that you probably won't be able to continue to supervise the visits much longer if he takes it to court. Its highly likely that the court will consider him to still be in need of a supervisor...but its highly likely that the judge would appoint his mother to be the supervisor.

If you don't want it to happen that way soon...then DON'T press the issue by taking it to court yourself. Let him do it.
