I would just like to point out that 21 months in the grand scheme of things isn't all that long. I can totally see a guy not thinking he had any business pursuing visitation with an infant, but thinking it made more sense w/a toddler/preschooler.

For what it is worth, I have to get up at 4 every morning to get my kid to swim practice... well, or my wife.

Saying that he has to get up early to take care of his child isn't a barrier.

Oh and him being a father is not erasing you as a mother. Thats your own issue you have to deal with. More daddy doesnt equal making you less the mommy.
