Actually it is not necessarily ... studies have proven that preserved food can contain more nutrients than fresh because fresh food may not be all that fresh. Do some research. When it comes to pre-processed what ar eyou talking about? Frozen veggies with cheese sauce? Not necessarily as healthy depending on what is in the cheese sauce. But frozen broccoli that is steamed is just as nutritious -- and sometimes more so -- than fresh broccoli for instance.

There are high quality brands of organic jar food.....

We don't mean to knock you for wanting the best nutrition for your child. Just realize that you are a bit "over the top" from a legal perspective and you aren't going to get credit in a child support calculation for providing your home made organic food.

I'd also add that the child will be on jarred foods for a relatively short period of time. S/he's over a year old already, so is going to be graduating to finger foods soon, if not already started.

Heck...my daughter was on "jar food" for less than two months....we had just started jar food (at 5 months) when her grandparents came to visit from Italy for three months. Grandma simply pureed whatever we were eating and fed her that most of the time instead of her jar food....by the time grandma left she wouldn't have anything to do with the bland stuff that came out of a jar....LOL However, she also had good teeth early, so she could handle alot of stuff by the time grandma went home.
