My company has a contract with a US client, and the contract is subject to the Laws of Texas.
The contract is coming to an end and the client is requesting copies of documents under the above regulation - their ownership of this material is not in doubt - what is, is the amount of copies they require - the contract does not cover who pays for providing all the paperwork, drawings etc
The material they require is stored in various formats ie electronic and hard copies.
We believe it would be fair to provide the information on a number of CD's for them to arrange their own copies at no cost - but their request is for the information to be secregated out and for multiple copies of the CD's - as you can imagine this will incur significant costs in time and reproduction materials.
As anyone come across this before and are we allowed to charge for providing this?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Paul
