My husband recently died in a hospital setting. He was having a cardiac cath performed using iodine based dye, to which we both knew he was allergic. The doctor told me that his heart was in bad shape and that he had a violent reaction to the dye and that they couldn't save him. Do I have any legal recourse against the doctor and/or the hospital?

My response:

You and husband knew that he was allergic to iodine? If you failed to tell this to the doctor, then no, there wouldn't be any malpractice.

Sorry for your loss. I hope you're getting along okay.
