We only have the HUGE bufo toads down here ... they're poisonous to doggies ... there's like no way I would touch one of them bad mamas ...:eek::eek:

Cjane, you sound like a fabulous mom! I could just picture that being filmed (the hoppy toads) and the disclaimer "no toads were hurt in the filming of this clip" :D:D:D:D

You people just think this grody stuff is funny cuz CJane has GIRLS.

The snake that (finally) died, the hamster, the escaped guinea pig and my all time favorite - "Eldridge" the iguana that he hid in the back of his closet for 3 months....gotta love boys!

SP, yer just jealous :D

Did I ever tell you about my fishing expedition with my boys who were 7,5 & 3? Now, I do NOT touch worms, or anything icky, slimey or plain grody. So, the boys expect **ME** to bait the hook. Well, I figured out how to corner the worm onto a hook using a butter knife and the ROUND lid of the bait container (don't ask). So, life if good and quiet until my oldest has the audacity to actually CATCH a fish.

Now, I have dressed appropriately for this fishing expedition in my short shorts and little tank top. Was back in my thin days too. I'm a busy squealing about this fish and you should have seen how the knights in shiny armor showed up to save little ol' poor me!

So, that's how a girly girl deals with the boys' stuff! :D

Oh, girls vs boys? Lets talk about the baby field mice that my mother faithfully fed with an eyedropper until they grew up...courtesy of yours truly.

And lets see, there were the two baby chicks and the baby goose that were an easter present from my daughters father that lived in cages in her bedroom, until the reak was so bad that even her father said that they had to go.

At one time we had the above fowl, two newts, 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits and 3 parakeets. I finally banned my daughter and her father from going anywhere within 100 feet of a pet store.....but they got around that by getting the rabbits at the state fair...LOL

My grandmother had a 4 flat in a suburb of Chicago, and had an iguana named simon that lived in the laundry room....he was six feet long. Luckily, the whole building was inhabited by family, or simon might have been a bit of problem...LOL

Thank God for someone who understands!!! :D
Oh yeah - was glad the snake died - the whole "Mooom - what's the big deal? You can't just drop a mouse in the cage at the beginning of the week for me?!" used to freak me out..

and messiness? he spent 4 hrs cleaning his room the day the appraisal on the house was being done. All I can say is -fortunately, the appraiser was quite young! LOL!

Okay. I just wanted someone to love me in my (past) suffering! :D

Boys were a lot of fun. Gross and dirty, but tons of fun. I would've liked a girl, just to even up the numbers a bit, but will have to wait upon grandchildren.

God really, really likes me, so the grandkids will be ALL GIRLS. It'll be His/my revenge upon all those males...:p

Oh ho so you can relate too!! Field mice - Shudder, shudder - hopefully you didn't have to feed them to snakes like I did! Made me feel like an executioner. Which one do you pick to toss in? I think that was when my older son realized I wasn't a goddess!

The 14 yo is not into nature which makes for a nice change of pace for me!

OK, I want to read this WHOLE thread when I have more time.....

BUT, I have to say the permanent marker thing just shows how moronic they are.

Oh, and when my ten year old was about two, she got hold of a Sharpie and wrote all over her legs. She looked like a tiger! We took a picture and put it in her photo album! She's got the biggest s**t eating grin on her face!

How'd you manage diapers? :-b

I can't think of anything slimier or grodier than a baby's behind when the diaper has gotten soiled.

Admittedly, I'm not one for getting my hands dirty (I was fussy even as a baby, or so my mother tells me), and as such, my mom wants to sell tickets to my first diaper changing, whenever I get around to having (two-legged) kids.

(For the record, current price is 5 bucks. ;) )

I think I've gotten less fussy having to clean up after my four-legged fuzzy kid, though. She's very nicely housebroken, but sometimes, she has.... tummy issues.
