What is the name of your state? Illinois
We recently moved into a new place. It is an old house that has been converted into a 2 flat. The trailer-trash-teen-drug-addict mother living above us has a 2.5 year old, and another in the oven. Her troll... err child runs around pounding and jumping all day and night long. Mom's response to any complaints about it is that it is 2.5 years old, like that somehow releases her from any responsibility she has for it.
Are noisy kids something the police can deal with? At what point is too much noise against the law?
I've been thinking about recording the pounding and then replaying it through my amplifier all day long so that they can hear it too, what do you think?
At what point can we tell the LL that the upstairs neighbors are making an unacceptable amount of noise and that we plan to look for another place and break the lease?
Any advice will be welcome and appreciated,
sleep deprived,
Brookston
