Help with internet sale

Well my son had bought something from someone in Canada, he didn’t ship what was agreed on. Now he did ship something of some what of a equal value now I want to know if he’ll be arrested or will this be taken to small claims court.

Who will be arrested for what? Why the mention of small claims court? What did your son say he bought? What was shipped to him? Has he contacted the seller and explained that he did not receive what he ordered?

How do you expect Florida courts to have jurisdiction over a Canadian transaction?

He bought something of 1,000 dollar value. He didn't ship what was said. I understand my son is at fault. Now the guy in canada is contactng the police department in Florida trying to see what they can do. I just want to make sure my son is not going to go to jail. I've heard of cases like this on T.V but that is why I bring up small claims.

My son is 22 years old, so he is not a minor.

Not going to beat around the bush.

My son bought a computer, he sent him a camera.

He was suppose to give him cash. Now what will happen to him. My son is the buyer of the computer he got the computer the guy got a camera. He was suppose to get 1,100 cash!

Your son made an agreement to trade a camera for a computer. In addition to sending the camera, your son was supposed to send $1,100. Your son received the computer and sent the camera, but did not send the $1,100.

Is that right?

Something was bought and something was shipped and something was traded? And that is about as clear as mud in trying to figure out what you're getting at? How can you expect a straight answer when what you're telling us is so evasive in the first place?

Another curious question is why would the seller ship if he received payment in form of a camera and not cash?

Same time shipment, he shipped the same day my son shipped. My son gave a camera instead of the cash that the seller should have received.

why in the world would your son think this person wanted a camera? maybe he already has a camera? do you go into the grocery store and when you check out, do you hand them stuff from your house or do you pay them?
