What is the name of your state? New York
Wanted to give you an update on my situation. The New York CSE sent the termination of payroll deduction to my employer two days after my son's 21st Birthday. Given the many threads I have seen with regards to the timeliness of the CSE I felt very fortunate. The computer systems track the emancipation date and electronically notify the CSE staff. Thought this would be useful information for anyone paying child support through New York State.
As I have mentioned in my earlier posts the team that provides us with "Free Advice" and in my specific instance Silverplum, has been a wealth of knowledge. I have learned much by reading the posts and more importantly the responses by those with the knowledge. Again Silverplum I applaud you and the other members who have maintained the integrity of the sites basic service. Divorce in general, and child support more specifically, are very volatile subjects, and sometimes the FREEADVICE is painful, but in the end will hopefully prevent some from making the same mistakes in the future and for some to prevent the mistakes from happening at all. This site is a wealth of information, and I have and will continue to recommend it to anyone in need.
The only advice I have for those individuals seeking help from the members of this forum is to take the advice for the value it provides FACT vs. Feel Good. We come to the site looking for information most of which has been asked and answered in prior posts by other people. So do your due diligence and use the search functions to determine if what you are seeking has already been addressed.
I want to thank you all, but a special thanks to you Silverplum for the great advice.
