Hi, I am following your story and wishing you the very best.

I'm sure you have all this in hand, yet outline all the incidences of out of control anger and how dad handles, especially recently...in court, right outside of court in hallway, the sledgehammer got me...emphasize that one...all right in front of the child/children. Point out if he used any of these tools in the wrong space, they could be deadly...alas supervised visits are a must. Keep focus on the degree of anger, how often dad is out of control, that he is flat out out of control. Anger managment is a no brainer of course. Keep at it, I liked the suggestion of if there is legal help at the domestic violence shelter...they will help you make your best case for court. GOOD LUCK
Micha

Picked up my order!

This is what it says, .....(without the heading of course)

On April 29th, 2009, this matter came on for consideration, without a hearing, by Magistrate Mickey Mouse on an Exparte Motion for Suspension of Visitation and Expedited Hearing, and a Motion for Appointment of Guardian Ad Litem on April 29, 2009 by mother.

The motion for Suspension of Visitation is well taken.

It is therefore, ORDERED that:

1. All of "fathers" visitation with "son" is hereby suspended pending a full hearing on the motion.

2. This matter is set for a full hearing to determine that father's visitation rights to June 9, 2009 at 9:00am.

3. The Motion for Appointment of a Guardian Ad Litem is denied until the mother deposits $500 with the Court for payment of the Guardian Ad Litem's fees.

Pay that $500 NOW so you can get the appointment and don't have to go through continuances.

Seriously, yes, it's THAT important.

Take a deep breath.

Do NOT accept a single phone call, or respond to a single text message from Dad, his wife, or anyone who's number you don't recognize. Voice mail and a good deadbolt are now your best friends.

Make sure the school has a copy of the new order.

I don't have $500 right now. I'm a single mom of 3 with not a dime of child support and a broken down van. I'll will take away from anything I possibly can to try to come up with the money though.

I would normally never recommend this in a billion years. But get a payday loan if you have to.

Yes, they're deplorable. Yes, it'll cost you an arm and a leg in the long run. But if it's the only way you can come up with the money, come up with it.

Do you have things you can sell on Craigslist? Baby clothes, toys, things hanging around you have no use for? Can you have a yard sale? Have friends/family donate things they don't need anymore and have it at someone's house that isn't yours. That is what my wife and I did when we had to come up with a deposit quickly.

Does anyone know what happens if he doesn't show up to court? I asked at the Juvenile Court and she said she wasn't sure but she thought maybe he just would not have visitation anymore.

I can try that, but from what I heard, you have to give them bank statements or something and it is a rare thing right now for me to have money in the bank. I don't know if that really has anything to do with it, but that's what I heard. I'm willing to try anything. I'll sell everything I own if I need to.

Actually I believe Ohio has limited the interest on payday loans to 32% yearly. Not great but nothing like the 300% it used to be.

If he has been properly served, ask for a default judgment.
