What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI
Well, my DH and I finally saved enough up for him to get an attorney for the rest of the journey...just wanted to say thanks for all the help in the meantime (especially Tink for all the MI resources)
I went with him for the first appointment today and both of us had really good feelings about this guy. He didn't try to sell my DH a line like the others and was very realistic and down to earth about all the options and possible outcomes-he seems to really know his stuff, and that's all you can hope for! Plus, he's working without a retainer, and is allowing for a reasonable payment plan each month rather than payment in full with each bill, which is a HUGE help. The referee hearing for the custody part is in a couple of weeks, and there will be a final hearing before the judge with regards to CS sometime soon after that...an end is in sight!
And to Wiley, if you read this...my stepdaughter is still on her aloe (and probiotics). She seems to be doing well on these, so thanks for the tip. She saw a specialist last week who basically said she was impacted, but didn't have IBS as previously diagnosed by her PCP. Next checkup is within a couple of weeks, I'm crossing my finger-I just want to see her feeling better soon.
