What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? washington

I have a pregnant 15 year old stepdaughter, does her father who is her legal guardian have the right to force her to give the child up for adoption?

Is it just me or are we seeing a sudden surge in these situations here?!
Shoot! All these pregnant teens, I think once my child hits thirteen I'm gonna tell her we are going for the flu shot and have them give her birth control instead. (just kidding but kinda wish I could seriously do it!) lol

OP the girls father can not make her give up the child for adoption. That being said if she lives with father he is under no obligation to cover the financial needs of the child. How is she going to do so herself when she can not even legally get a job? At least, not one that allows enough hours. I personally do not want to fund another teens child through my taxes and a child really shouldnt be raising children. Why would encouraging her to give the baby a chance at a loving home with two financially able people a bad idea?

its the moms decision not anyone elses

Short answer: No.
its dad's daughter decision alone as wether to keep the baby, get an abortion, or place the child for adoption. neither you or dad have any legal rights to this child. nor do either of you have any say over the child.

question

Grandparents have no legal rights or obligations to their grandchild. Parents are obligated to provide support (ie. a place to live) until their minor child reaches the age of majority (18 in most states).

But, are parents required to allow their minor child to have her/his minor child live in their home (ie. is there an obligation for a grandparent of a minor-aged parent to provide a home for their grandchild?)

I would seriously judge any parent who would play that card.

Yes, but would it be legal? If so, where does the baby go? It seems that the spirit of the law would require grandparents to provide food and shelter for their minor child's minor child but without any rights to that child.

The grandparents have no legal obligation to support their grandchild - if they refuse to allow the grandchild to live under the same roof as their minor child, there are options; the most obvious of which would be contacting social services.
