What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I have a question because I dont know where to go. I worked for a sheriff's office in northern ca as a dispatcher. i was told to go to K9 training as part of my training. I was used as a dummy, I would say. I was not explained the exercise al the way and I was bitten on my left arm, I am left handed. After the bite i was on work comp. When the dr released me back to work with my full treatment not completed. I went back for one day and had a break down. I then filed a work comp claim for post tramatic stress and began seeing the therapist. After a while I was doing better and the county was able to transfer me to another job. I have been here for a couple months and now my arm is bothering me so I called the work comp attorney to make sure it was ok to go to the md still since my treatment was not complete. When I called I was told my claim had been closed but they would reopen it. I have extensive scaring and numbness in my arm still. I was looking to sue for pain and suffering since I now have to life with this for the rest of my life. What kind of attorney do i need?

Thank you

You cannot sue your (former) employer.

Copied from some random California website:
Workers' Compensation is the exclusive remedy for an injured worker against the employer except in very limited circumstances. If you are injured on the job you generally have no other remedy against the employer. Workers' compensation law does not provide for pain and suffering or lost wages (except for temporary disability discussed below) as part of the damages that can be recovered.
