i'm not sure if i'm doing this right? but i just got yelled at for posting a question in another thread? so i'm starting a new one. sorry if it isn't right i've never used this before.
i just got a minor. i'm 16. it was in South Dakota. i was sent to JDC for my parents to pick me up. this is my first offense. i blew .122. i have to go to court. what is my punishment more than likely going to be.

i'm know underage drinking is stupid, i'm not gonna go off on this being my first time drinking or blah blah. i was just hoping for an answer please...

Look at the top of your ticket.

What, exactly, is the statute number and jurisdiction under which you are charged?

We need this so that we can access the proper statute.

i didn't get a ticket. they said since i'm only 16 i don't get one? South Dakota law i guess.. the 18 year olds i was with got a ticket. it didn't say their fine. just that they have to appear in court.

What you don't seem to understand is that we are volunteers.

You refused to follow the rules. You insist on acting like the very immature child you are.

If you want people to GIVE you free legal advice, you could at least PRETEND to understand the basic rules of etiquette and this forum.

how on earth do you know you have to go to court if you did not get a ticket? did you get an order for appearance in the mail? you are being asked what the exact charge is. with that information we can locate the range of punishments. also needed is a criminal history. such as any probation that was assigned to you if any.

Just for the record, I have helped THOUSANDS of kids in situations just like yourself.

I have researched law and provided answers. In no other case... not one... did a child respond the way you did.

You need to get your act together before court. Oh, and if you think for a minute that I believe that you said that term out of respect, you must believe me as stupid as your parents.

Try it on a judge. That would REALLY be funny.

alright, thank you for being straight to the point. if i have my brother's ticket, &he was with me, probably has the same charges can you use that to find it? the only difference is that he's 18.. would that work to tell you that?
