What kind of "picture" was it? What was your exact description?

If some idiot paid you $700 for a picture you took at home, and that is how you described it. Tell the dork he got what he paid for.

Keep a copy of your ad just in case he sues you.

Some people are just so darn foolish.

The OP is being..careful..in what happened. I suspect there is, at least, some "puffery" in the description of the photo. Fraud? Or, mere salesmanship? That's for a court to decide, but I bet I'd sue.

Understood.

OP, your actions were scum if what I think is correct. I stand by what I said originally though. Like I said, I sure hope I am wrong.

Although the OP should not have offered a "picture" for $700, there has to be major accountability on the buyer.

I would never have forked over ANY money for anything sight unseen from a private party.

This may be true, but courts have sided with the buyer in the past. Ebay is not the place to exercise word play in an attempt to defraud buyers.

OP, post the text and title from your ad here. If I don't have an urge to drop $700, I'll know you're lying. Otherwise, HappyWanderer will be pretty happy to know what he said was true. I will be mortified.
