Hi, I was just wondering... if a product is being sent from a country where it is legal to country where it is illegal, who's legal responsibility does it become?

It can be looked on two ways, can't it? The reciever in the illegal country could be the one who urged the act to happen (and the sender could be oblivious to the external law), or, legally, it could be discussed that the receiver didn't expect such a mail in the first place.

What class is this for?;)

Intent is important to most criminal laws.

Care to give more facts on how you plan to accidentally receive something illegal?

I'm saying, how can a person not living in our country, be governed by our laws.

Receiver is in trouble.

Hope you get an A. Please cite your report "Banned_Princess and company, at Free Advice. com"

Um...tell it to Al Qaeda. They seem to be worried about flying robots for some reason. And, if the nice young men in uniform kick in their door, our Attorney General wants to read them their Miranda rights. (Except for Osama, he won't be taken alive so the point is moot--according to the AG.)

Ah, but Al Quada is a national threat. they are sending bombs in the mail to unsuspecting Americans (figuratively)

Someone mailing drugs to someone else, who likely requested the contraband is really a completely different matter.

Unless of course it was a bomb, and the receiver was blown up, plus didn't know he was getting a bomb. then it would be trouble for sender. (Talking to you Osama) lol. :)

ok, what the heck, we are talking about San Pedro cactus ((Trichocereus peruvianus) gutted, dried and prepared), Coca Leaves and Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi).

From Peru to Norway.

Does it make a difference?

From what I understand there is a bigger problem for the receiver in the country where it is illegal.

But the receiver can always say, "I have never intended to receive this product" and if there are no tracks of any payments or anything, law cant hold anything against receiver, except confiscate said products.

Tell that to the DEA that jails people every day for just what you are suggesting. They also track it back to the source and get them also. :D

To Quote Tommy Chong. "I WAS FRAMED!"
