This is exactly how I feel. Yes, it could be an accident, but if dad is being evasive about what happened, I would push more to know what did happen. If it is an accident, then it is what it is, we deal with it. But Mom wants to KNOW what happened. she has that right.
Yes, she does. But assuming that dad's lying just because he gets defensive when mom comes after him with both guns blazing is just plain wrong.
ANYONE is going to get defensive when the other spouse goes into attack mode.
There doesn't seem to be ANY reason to believe that it occurred in any way other than the father said. What ever happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'? (Yes, I know that applies to criminal cases, but the concept applies here, too).
