Times must have changed in the last half century since you grew up there because I currently go to Alhambra frequently and the drivers there are very reasonable compared to Lomita, Gardena and Buena Park.

I guess you never drove anywhere out of Alhambra have you?
Willy, the village is calling...

Hush now and stop trying to name drop cities. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Lomita, Gardena or especially Buena Park, used you call leaving Knotts dangerous.

Lets not stray from the OP's issue folks....

As far as suing in your home location; it would depend on the facts & circumstances involved (if they came to your location & collected $$ there then you may be able to file locally). You can check with the clerk's office again or go to google scholar for more information.

Alternately, you may wish to file in regular court ... the costs may be the same when you take into account the gas ... if possible.
Let's actually try to give accurate answers. Check the rules of small claims court. You may find something extremely interesting and you may find why you are wrong, no matter if they came to the OP to collect the money.

WA USA

A business in Alhambra CA has cheated on me and do I have to go there in person for small claims court?
I asked pierce county WA (where I live ) they said you can not sue CA based business in WA state.
Is there any other option than going in person to CA?
What makes you so certain that the business can't be sued in the State of Washington? Just because some county courthouse underling - that is not supposed to be giving legal advice - said so?

Explain with some detail the particulars by which you feel that you have a legal claim against the California based company. Maybe Washington's long arm statute will kick in and you can sue them in your backyard and not theirs.

Incidentally, there are signs posted in some of the clerk’s offices in this state that read:

Employees of this office are not permitted to give legal advice.
