My 13 yo daughter wants to live with me in Utah. Her mother wants no part of it. My daughter has begged her mother to allow her to do so. I really can't do anything. I don't influence my daughter. I listen to what my daughter wants, but I'm stuck. Does California use an Affadavit of Preference?

I agree, you aren't articulating any change in circumstance and a custody change that would remove a child from the child's home state would be the hardest kind of custody battle to fight.

Frankly I doubt there's a 13 year old on the planet who hasn't expressed an insane desire - nay, need - to live elsewhere at some point..
