I would like a license for my pet fish Eric.

You've seem to have mistaken this forum for a the state legislature or the city council office. You don't change laws by bleating about them here.

As stated your choice is to continue to violate the rule and take the consequences in court. Frankly however, we see no defense that would prevail in such an action.

You can comply with the law.

You can try to get the law changed (best done in concert with other people in she same boat).

However, you'll find that the laws are most definitely legally enacted and the municipality doesn't have to show you are getting anything by complying, it is the public at large who is served (ostensibly by having the legal verification that your dogs are indeed free from rabies, etc...).

No one at the animal control office can provide me a reasonable answer as to why. The closest response I got was to check for rabies. Why not ask for proof of rabies?
Fine, let's go with that - and that alone.

Who would you like to ask you for proof of rabies? Doesn't that person get paid?

YEESH! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Bottom line , if you live in a area that has ords pertaining to dogs and you dont like them , your free to use public forums in public meetings to justify over turning a ord or your free to move to a area that has even fewer zoning rules than where you live now , but be warned even very thinly populated areas with few zoning rules do change and create new rules.
