They won't speak to the GAL either without a release signed by Mother. The GAL can obtain any and all of the records for the CHILDREN but NOT for the parents.
Then how may I ask is the GAL / magistrate supposed to base their recommendations when they don't even know the facts of the case?

The GAL is more than able to ask for mom to sign a release for anything she believes is necessary to investigate. But your GAL doesn't seem to get it if she is not going to investigate mom without being paid.

I think you're placing far too much importance on Mom's diagnosis. Unless she's a DANGER to the kids, and you can PROVE that, it's less relevant than you'd imagine.

In 2009 she took an overdose of pills when she was alone with the two children in her apartment [when they were 5 and 7 YO]. The police received a tip from her sister after she left some troubling text messages and found her unconscious in bed with the two boys - pill bottles open and pills laying around. I received a call from the police to come pick the boys up and took photos before securing the property. This is all documented in their poilce report and this incident was discused at her [unsuccessful bid to regain custody] trial last March. I have copies of the report and court minutes. I would think that would be admissable to any future hearings.

Those were already addressed. The court is already aware of this. They still did not strip her of her legal custody. So do you have anything NEW?
