What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma
I'm 18 year old senior and attending public high school. In our school system we have special program that allows students to spend half of their school day taking classes at what I believe to be know as a trade school. Our school system also has a special program that makes it mandatory for students to receive tutoring if their grades are failing or if a teacher requests it. This tutoring is done at the time of a regular lunch day at school. This puts me in an unique situation. I happen to be currently failing British Lit. which means I am forced to go to tutoring at 12:15. I'm then released from tutoring at 12:41. Which i then gather up my stuff and proceed to the front of the school which has bus to take us to our trade school. Which arrives at 12:55 at the trade school. This leaves me 5 minutes or less to proceed to there cafeteria, order food, eat and get to class by 1:00(normal high school students have to be in class by 1:11). The trade school is very strict on there attendance only allowing 6 absences and if a miss more i loose all high school credit i have earned the past 2 years attending the class. Also if i were to take the first bus to my trade school (skipping tutorial) the school will punish me with in-school suspension and take away school activities such as prom. So if I abide by all rules set in place I simply do not have enough time to eat lunch. My other options lead me to either being banned from prom or as far as not graduating due to loss of credit. What are my options here? Can the public schools take away my lunch like this?

Bring your grades up and you won't need the tutoring. Meantime, bring lunch and eat on the bus. Welcome to the real world!

 Get my grades up... really... easier sad than done in a fast manner. Also, The bus drivers do not allow food or open drinks on the bus. I've tried this already. Welcome to my world:D

have you even bothered to address this with the administration of your school?
Yes, I've tried talking to the principle in charge of tutorial discipline. She has expressed that the rules are simple and she can't change them for me. She is unwilling to offer alternatives or help with my situation. leading me here for advice...

You put yourself in this position. Use your brain and come up with a solution. Don't expect the school to cater to you when you are the one responsible for the need for tutoring.

Why not eat during tutoring? Seems the simplest solution.

That said, having skipped a number of meals during my college years (not always by choice), missing a few lunches won't kill you. If nothing else, it might give you that extra incentive to study harder so you no longer have to go to tutoring.

Eating during tutoring seems to be the most logical solution. Many schools will provide a sack lunch upon request that you could take with you to the trade school. Ask to speak to whomever is in change of the cafeteria as to a sack lunch.

Don't skip tutorial, or risk not graduating.

If the school is receiving federal funding for their lunches, you are entitled to a half hour to eat your lunch, under the law.

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CFR-2011-title7-vol4/pdf/CFR-2011-title7-vol4-part210.pdf

If the school is not allowing you to eat during tutorial, or really not giving you time to eat at all, they are violating federal law, and could be open to a lawsuit. Look through the above document, and have your parents call the school, to make sure you are allowed to eat your healthy nutritious lunch provided by the taxpayers. You are entitled to that.
