Thank you for the information. It seems the only thing I can do is wait to see what this device actually is. I was just hoping to be a little more proactive in what ever way I can to get through this. Thank you again.Possession of a controlled substance more than 1 gram, less than 4 grams.

Why would he? Presumably since it was in your luggage you know what it is.Is it normal for the officer not to show the person(me) being arrested what he found at the time of the arrest?
I had no room in the cab of my truck to put it. I dont know what it is, I havent seen it. Ive known this person for about a month or so, and I am confident he wouldnt have lied. Why would he? Presumably since it was in your luggage you know what it is.
Otherwise it was your traveling companion's and he lied about it being yours. I certainly would not have just let him drive away without further investigation. It seems you don't know this mystery person very well. Why was he carrying your luggage - that makes NO sense.
Ahh, so it was yours.I had no room in the cab of my truck to put it. I dont know what it is, I havent seen it. Ive known this person for about a month or so, and I am confident he wouldnt have lied.
What was mine? The only thing that was mine was the suitcase. I was told this device was found in it.Ahh, so it was yours.
If you admit to it being your suitcase, barring any proof the device was placed there by another, it is presumed to be yours. What was mine? The only thing that was mine was the suitcase. I was told this device was found in it.
I never admitted it was my suitcase to the officer. The topic of there even being a suitcase was never even brought up. At that time I didnt know they were searching the other vehicle. I didnt know I was being charged with having this device til I was at the jail. The officer never asked me if I had any property in the other vehicle. If you admit to it being your suitcase, barring any proof the device was placed there by another, it is presumed to be yours.
and that, among other things, is why this just doesn't make sense.loadmaster;3071655]
Is it procedure for them to take the other drivers word for it that its my suitcase andlet him drive away? Since the suitcase was not under my control I can see there would be no way I could prove it was placed there by another. Heck I dont even know if it was found in my case, there were two other suitcases that were other peoples
find a lawyerNow what do I do?
Yea, nothing in this scenerio makes sense. Thank you for your input.and that, among other things, is why this just doesn't make sense.

No room? How much luggage do you carry with you? You have a sleeper?I had no room in the cab of my truck to put it.
That's a naive attitude. How can you think you know this person very well after a month???Ive known this person for about a month or so, and I am confident he wouldnt have lied.
Alrite easy, My "ISSUES" are that yes I was escorted, but not for my luggage but for my oversize load. I can only drive during certain times which causes me to have to park in areas that are nowhere near anything such as hotels, truckstops etc. In the case of going to a hotel, I park the truck and hop into the escort vehicle to the hotel. I do not have a sleeper so everything I have has to ride in the front seat ie, Mapbooks, lunch box, luggage, files for paperwork etc. Doesnt leave alot of room for stuff let alone drive. It helps somewhat to just leave my luggage in the escort vehicle as opposed to taking out, putting in my truck, taking out of my truck, putting back in escort vehicle. No room? How much luggage do you carry with you? You have a sleeper?
I think you have issues if you need to be escorted by someone in a car just to carry a piece of luggage.
That's a naive attitude. How can you think you know this person very well after a month???
It seems as though your trust was greatly misplaced. Since you claim this "device" wasn't yours, it must have belonged to this mystery person who obviously betrayed you by letting himself off the hook at your expense.
I dont know, and yes it was.So inquiring minds want to know...
What was the controlled substance you were in possession of, that was over 1 gram, yet less than 4g? You need a lawyer, fast. What was this other vehicle? An escort vehicle for your load?
