A few questions:Again thank you. I have taken your advice, and as I can sum it up, is yes I am still responsible for this debt. So then, since the past due electric bill was in my name, but as it was in use when we were married, does he have to pay for half of that too? I accept the responsiblity that I should pay for my half of the bills. But I don't want him coming back on me for this if I can help it. If I have to I will go to my lawyer again, I just don't want more of a debt there, if I can help it. But I end up paying for it all, or I'm affraid I'll lose my business because of it. Then where am I if I lose my business? He doesn't pay child support. Tells me that if I sue him for child support, then he will leave and no one will find him. I end up paying the childrens bills without him paying his half. And then I have to take him to court, just to do it all over again. Then I'm out more money that I don't have. He has yet to make one payment on anything. I have taken care of my half of the childrens bills, but he hasn't made one effort to try on his part. And now they are coming after me to pay the rest.
1) How much is the past due electric bill? Was that listed and admitted in the debts and assets of the marriage to the court?
2) How much is the judgment for the house fire?
3) Is there a child support order?
4) Did you send him the bills for the children's medical?
5) If not, why not?
If so, sue him for contempt if the court order requires he pay half. If you don't want to do that, that is on you.
