What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California - LACO
a. if i thought we were in it for the long haul, loved her and cared for her, but the minute she obtained the GC and a job she started seeing other people. why am i guilty if fraud for being taken advatage of?
b. what are the affects of an annullment of the marriage:reason fraud?
c. of course she doesn't want a divorce, she may lose her eligibilty for her status.
to add, she threw some papers in front of my face a few months ago saying sign this for me please and i said no, not without reading..... i find my name signed by her on the papers later that morning while she was in the shower.
so, in my mind, i am being taken advantage of and not an accomplice to the scheme i fell for.
what are my options?
i am in a similar situation and am unclear about this.If the marriage was fraudulent then you are in just as much trouble -- either the marriage (both of you) was fraudulent or neither of you were. And yes, it is worth it for her to bring you to court because you have to get a divorce anyway. Oh and btw, did you sign the form stating you would support her and that is how she is in the country? If so, you are on the hook to support her for a while. Others can speak to the specifics of that better than I.
