Even her mother has tried but failed to get custody of her grandchild. Her own mother paid for a private detective to locate her daughter and her own grandchild when they up and disappeared on me for a six month period with a guy she met online in Washington. Her own mother paid for MY divorce lawyer because even she knows that her own daughter is crazy!

You don't know the story or the history so stop pretending that you do. I will explain to my daughter all of this when she is older, and I mean like adult older. She'll then realize why she's never had any father figure in her life or why she's had hundreds of "father figures" in her life.

For those wanting to dig more in my business, you can look up MN Courts case number 27-FA-06-5981 OR it's companion case 27-FA-08-4976. There, you can read all the court information you would like. I tried what I could and spent all the money I could. You don't know me nor do you know what I've gone through.

We go by what you post. No one here is that interested in your stuff to go searching.

As for your daughter? If she hass a decent life with her Mom? I can tell you that whatever you try to "prove" will fall on deaf ears. Because she will know who was actualy there. And who wasn't. My ex threatened the same thing when our kids were younger. I know what I did for our kids - and so do they. They also know what kind of Dad he was. While I stil hope they can somehow rebuild a relationship, there is nothing he could say to them to turn them against me. All THAT would do is destroy any chance of a relationship between them. So think carefully.

Thanks. Will do.

The last person who invited us to check out his court docket went on to regret doing so. Heavily.

Expect your daughter to tell you, in no uncertain terms, to buzz off, if you try contacting her after she is 18. Expect her not to be interested in a single thing you have to say. Expect that you have lost her forever. You may get lucky and she may give you a chance...but don't expect it. Even if she lets you tell your side of the story, she doesn't have to forgive you or allow you into her life.

I spent about 15 minutes digging around, and while I'm not going to post anything I found as I'm not into publicly embarrassing anyone, and the other members here can find the same things I found just as quickly as I did, I do have one thing to say about this. There's a photo you posted to Google+, your daughter has a pink flower in her hair. There's no way I could look at that little girl in that picture and turn my back on her. That's all I have to say.

Yet another update.

Like I have done every year, I was going to file my taxes. But I guess lucky me, I got a notice in the mail saying that I owe $1,500 in arrears and that if I file my taxes, the money would go to my ex. So, I email her lawyer to fix this because I shouldn't owe any arrears and she sends me back yet another stipulation that she wants me to sign that states:

WHEREAS: The Petitioner has signed a consent form for the Respondent’s husband to

adopt the minor child subject to the matter.

WHEREAS: The parties agree that the Petitioner’s child support arrears should be

forgiven.

IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED AND AGREED THAT:

1. The Petitioner’s child support arrears are hereby forgiven and no longer owed.

2. The Petitioner shall not contact the Respondent for any reason. If there is some

need to contact the Respondent he should do it through her lawyer.

3. If the Petitioner withdraws his consent for the adoption, child support and the

arrears shall become due and owing.

First off, I didn't think I could withdraw my consent to the adoption since it's already been going through for months now apparently. To me, this is all common sense, if I withdraw from the adoption, yes, I will be paying child support. I think she just wanted to add in the number two part, that I can't contact her anymore. I'm debating whether or not to sign this as I guess I could just wait for the adoption to go through so the arrears will be gone anyway as it said in the previous stipulation.

It won't let me edit, but her lawyer wrote in the email: call your caseworker and see if this will all work legally. Shouldn't the lawyer know this? Well, I did try and call my caseworker but her automated message said she only works Mon-Thurs so I'll just have to wait and ask her then.

Since I work in MN child support enforcement I can tell you this:

If your ex is not and has not been on any kind of cash public assistance and you do not owe a medical support support obligation for any months the child may have been on MA or MinnesotaCare, then, yes, this would be legal and once filed, the caseworker will write off any arrears that have accrued on the case.

If the case is a non-public assistance case, then the CP has the right to go in an ask the child suport office to forgive all arrears and close the case.

What county are you in??????
