If your can't afford the attorney, then the court will appoint public defender. Public defender is a criminal attorney appointment by the court to defend those that cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Most public defenders are within the first five years of graduation from law school and are using this position to gain experience. I hope you problem will be solved by this suggestion.Thanks guys. But I already said I can't afford a lawyer and my loans wouldn't be impacted since DUI is a misdemeanor. Guess I'll just see what happens.
