Thanks guys. But I already said I can't afford a lawyer and my loans wouldn't be impacted since DUI is a misdemeanor. Guess I'll just see what happens.
If your can't afford the attorney, then the court will appoint public defender. Public defender is a criminal attorney appointment by the court to defend those that cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Most public defenders are within the first five years of graduation from law school and are using this position to gain experience. I hope you problem will be solved by this suggestion.

You are incorrect that most public defenders are within the first five years of graduation from law school. And if you think you are still correct -- cite where you got that information because I can tell you that you are completely and totally incorrect in many jurisdictions. Make sure the information is specific to OP's jurisdiction. If you knew anything, you would know that public defender jobs are highly sought after government positions. If you knew more, you would know that in some jurisdictions the vast majority of all practicing attorneys that represent alleged criminals are on the appointment lists that exist (from new graduates to those practicing 50 years). So again, where did you get that cite about first five years?
You are spouting things while I am actually living it.
