You have section 8 housing, you are receiving Food Stamps, and you are receiving what else? Aid for dependent children? What exactly?

When you marry someone, legally enough to make him to stay in this country, which is what it sounds like you have done, then you are automatically considered part of his household and he is, regardless of where he sleeps, part of your household and must be included in any computation of incomes. If he does not support you and you are poor enough to have to have assistance, then they will get after him and try to make him contribute. Up to and including jail time if he refuses to cooperate with the programs. In his situation, it will probably mean he'll be very questionable as far as status goes concerning immigration.

So right now, you report everything, and you let the chips fall where they may. your caseworker may have thought you did a really really stupid thing. I agree, depending on your circumstances. How many kids do you have? Do you receive any assistance for any of them? Child support, I mean?

Don't think you can just walk out and not deal with this since your caseworker wasn't nice to you. You'll be up for fraud before you can turn around. So go in and do everything you can to settle this situation correctly, which is to report your new status, report any income your new husband is producing, and work with it from there.

I do have one question.

Did your husband get sponsored to get here and if so by whom, or is he "EWI"? (entered without inspection)

There's a reason I'm asking.

someone correct me if i am wrong but.....

since they are legally married...isn't the home marital residence regardless of where he sleeps?

and BTW....if you continue to collect welfare benefits...they will go after him to get their money back. so that house you plan on buying? not going to happen. he will owe the state money thousands of dollars and will have to pay that first.
yes, he has the same address as me...I'm not planing to buy a house, but after he gets his employment authorization , we can move out and rent something.....he can not work right how, because he's from another contry ..and you know,....nobody will hire him....I'm not planing to stay on Welfare forever and this is an opportunity for me and for him , for a better life. He doesn't want to apply for welfare or something else and me neither.

Anysa;3201684]yes, he has the same address as me.
.then you should already have been listing him as a resident of where you live. Are you doing that? If so, all is well. If not, then you have already caused yourself a lot of problems.

I know he automatically considered part of household, regardless of where he sleeps, household and must be included in any computation of incomes...but he has no income....after he gets a job he will contribute.....and he is not refusing to cooperate with the program...that lady refused me....I have 2 kids, they are living with me.

Did you read the part where he will have to return to his home country for two years?
