Criminal charges and not getting your license for many years. Congrats!!Colorado.
I was driving people within six months of getting my license after curfew and it was also unregistered. What is the consequence for this?
Who owns the unregistered car? How long ago was the car purchased?Colorado.

The car is only a few years old and has only been unregistered for a few weeks. I was driving two of my friends who are also minors.Who owns the unregistered car? How long ago was the car purchased?
What "people" were you driving around past curfew?
Generally, for driving an unregistered car, you will be fined. Generally, for driving past curfew, there is a $65 fine and up to 8 hours of community service hours that must be completed. Two points will be added to your license.
Once you get 6 or more points on your license, your license will be suspended.
A link that provides you with the laws that apply to you as a minor: https://www.codot.gov/safety/colorado-teen-drivers/parent/teen-driving-restrictions.html
Thank you for answering my questions, Eliaw01. I have more questions. The car is only a few years old and has only been unregistered for a few weeks. I was driving two of my friends who are also minors.
My 14 year old friend owned the car. She was in the car at the time and it was unregistered because her dad didn't know it expired.Thank you for answering my questions, Eliaw01. I have more questions.
Who owns the car and why was it unregistered?
Okay. I assume the father didn't know his 14 year old daughter was letting you drive the vehicle either. My 14 year old friend owned the car. She was in the car at the time and it was unregistered because her dad didn't know it expired.
All parents have been notified. All I want to know is whether the state will take my license away completely or just take off a couple points. Thank you so muchOkay. I assume the father didn't know his 14 year old daughter was letting you drive the vehicle either.
I hope you have discussed all of this with your parents. Whether the State suspends your license or not, I suspect your parents might suspend your driving privileges.
Be sure to complete all community service hours as required.
Good luck.
It does not appear that your license will be suspended by the STATE. You might find your parents are not quite as generous. All parents have been notified. All I want to know is whether the state will take my license away completely or just take off a couple points. Thank you so much
Yea for sure. I'm just scared how much it'll increaseAnother question might be how it increases the insurance premium...
apparently Colorado has a 1 month grace period for expired registration. I suspect a requirement to cure the ticket is to obtain an up to date registration (although I have not chased the specific statute). The car is only a few years old and has only been unregistered for a few weeks. I was driving two of my friends who are also minors.
Ah. I was looking at this as one offense. You could be right, justalayman, that it is charged as 3 separate violations rather than one offense.... each violation adds two points.
6 points will get you a license suspension. By my count you have achieved that milestone and are subject to suspension of your license (curfew violation, other minors in the car, no adult in the car).
No. Perhaps her father owns the car. I doubt that the 14 year owns the car.My 14 year old friend owned the car. She was in the car at the time and it was unregistered because her dad didn't know it expired.
